We’ll make stops along the way to explore the picturesque medieval villages that dot the countryside, with their cobblestone streets, welcoming squares, and ancient churches.
One of Casentino’s most iconic attractions is the Sanctuary of La Verna, a place of great spirituality immersed in pristine nature. We’ll take a break to visit this sacred sanctuary and discover its millennia-old history, while being enchanted by the tranquility and beauty of the surrounding landscape, enjoying our lunch.
During the InGIRO Casentino bike tour, there will be plenty of opportunities to savor delicious Tuscan cuisine and renowned local wines. We’ll stop at local shops and trattorias during our bike rides, tantalizing your palate with traditional dishes like ribollita, pappa al pomodoro, and bistecca alla fiorentina, accompanied by a glass of excellent wine from the Casentino valley.
Additionally, we’ll have the chance to visit the picturesque Castello di Poppi, one of the most beautiful and well-preserved castles in Tuscany and the second most beautiful castle in Italy. You’ll admire its imposing medieval architecture while enjoying panoramic views of the valley below.
Finally, let yourself be guided by the passion and experience of our local guides, who will lead you to discover the hidden treasures of Casentino, such as characteristic villages and squares that will give you an authentic and unforgettable experience.
