Yes, non-cyclists can also enjoy our destinations. They can explore various areas of Casentino through alternative activities such as shopping, guided excursions, and discovering local culture, then join the group for cocktails, easy lunches, and dinners. We will propose different activities that you can choose from time to time. The tour price is the same for cyclists and non-cyclists and naturally includes accommodation, meals, wine, and other activities.
Certainly! Your children can participate in the bike tour (if minors, they must be accompanied by a parent) or take part in all the activities for "non-cyclists" while relaxing at Casale Chiesina, enjoying the two swimming pools and the surrounding green spaces.
Our aim is to offer fun and adventure to all, ensuring a personalized experience for everyone. Every day there will be our guides, often two, on the road and another in the support van, ready to provide mechanical assistance and refreshments. Sometimes, besides the van and the two road guides, there is also a support car following you during your transfers. The daily routes of the bike tour you choose can easily be modified in length and duration upon request.
Our guides will be happy to accompany you and show you alternative routes, being all native to Casentino and excellent connoisseurs of all paths, even the most hidden and characteristic ones. For those who prefer extra help, we offer electric bikes that allow tackling more challenging routes while keeping up with the group. For fully personalized tours, we recommend a private tour.
We do our best to meet the dietary needs of our guests by communicating restrictions, allergies, and preferences to restaurants, cooking classes, and during culinary experiences. In fact, Casale Chiesina offers another fantastic experience, separate from the Bike Tour, a cooking school. During the tour booking, we invite you to inform us of your dietary needs to ensure our maximum support throughout your bike tour.
Our expert guides will support during your stay to give suggestions, tips and try the best biking skills in the field.

Here some information for being ready for the Tour.
The information on our levels, along with our detailed itineraries, offers a good idea of the type of skills to expect during the tour. As described in our bike tours, we offer an athletic training service, naturally included in the economic value of the chosen bike tour, so you always feel comfortable during your vacation.
All our bike tours have a sheet listing the various route features, helping you choose the most suitable bike tour. However, don't worry: our guides will always support you to the best, and if the group requests it, we can update the route "live" to meet your needs.
During the tour, our guides constantly care for your comfort and safety. Our support van follows every kilometer of the route, offering water, snacks, mechanical support, and transporting your extra clothes. You can get in the van at any time. A second guide will accompany you on the road, offering cycling tips and local insights. At the end of the cycling day, you can enjoy full assistance. You won't have to worry about your luggage: upon arrival, it will already be in your room at Casale Chiesina. On request, the guides can book you a massage appointment and organize a refreshing aperitif. Your only task is to have fun. Throughout the tour, our guides offer both technical and logistical support. They speak the region's language, understand the local culture, have contacts in various restaurants, wineries, shops, and act as your personal managers, letting you experience unforgettable moments.
InGIRO tours mainly include biking and partly walking activities. Casual clothing, including jeans, shorts, t-shirts, and tops, is appropriate for all restaurants. Naturally, you can also bring a nice jacket and elegant shirt. We also recommend casual shoes and sneakers or trail shoes for vineyard or city walks. For the evening, a sweater or light jacket is advisable. A swimsuit for swimming and relaxing at Casale Chiesina's pool.
Tips are much appreciated to thank the InGIRO guides for their service, support, and expertise. The industry standard is a tip of 10-15% of your bike tour price. The total amount is for the entire team of guides, and local currency is always preferred.
Upon arrival at our headquarters, you won't need to think about anything. Our guides will pick you up at the main nearby airports, such as Florence or Rome, and drop you off at our Casale. This service is naturally included in the chosen bike tour price. For other airports or different arrival points, we can organize transfers based on your needs. During the tour, we provide van support to transport your luggage and help if you feel fatigued. At the end of the bike tour, you can choose to stay longer with us at Casale Chiesina (naturally, booking in advance) or leave for your destination. Don't hesitate to contact us for any specific needs; we will do our best to help you.
Helpful information for all you need to be ready for the start of the Tour.
Each tour begins with a bike setup to make the necessary adjustments to your bike. Once you arrive at Casale Chiesina, if needed, we will also perform a bike fit using the RETÜL system. If you already have bike fit data, you can send it to us so we can assemble the bike perfectly to your measurements and have it ready upon your arrival.
Participants can choose from the following options during the ordering phase their preferred bike from a classic road bike, an electric bike, a classic gravel bike, or an electric gravel bike.
Of course! I understand the desire to use your own bike; I do the same during my vacations, so you and your bike will be welcome.
You will receive a Castelli kit including a jersey, shorts, and socks. Every day, our staff will wash your kit, so we recommend bringing at least one spare kit, as well as your own shoes and pedals since we do not provide or have shoes available. Proper shoe fit, cleat setup, and the correct cleat for the pedals used are essential. Therefore, please bring your own cycling shoes. Many guests also bring their own helmet, but we will always have an excellent Rudy Project helmet available. Some people prefer to bring their own saddle, so that is optional.
The handlebar height of our bikes can be adjusted by adding or removing spacers or by raising and lowering the adjustable stem. For safety reasons, we do not offer or install handlebar extenders. Any further modifications will be at the discretion of our mechanics and may be subject to additional costs.
The tour price includes a bicycle from our fleet of traditional road bikes, electric bikes, specific bike tour bikes, mountain bikes, and gravel bikes. Here is how to compare the different models: • Road bikes: Designed for paved roads, with lighter frames and tires. They offer a slightly more forward and aerodynamic riding position, suitable for InGIRO bike tours. • Road E-bikes: Available in level 2 and 3 tours in selected destinations, they maintain the characteristics of a road bike with an ultra-compact integrated motor for extra speed, endurance, and support. Offered with a $400 surcharge. • Mountain bikes: Ideal for off-road use and rough terrain, they offer an upright riding position and flat handlebars for superior control. Equipped with thick, shock-absorbing tires and a wide range of gears for climbing steep hills, they are available in selected tours. • Gravel bikes: Great for riding on paved roads, gravel paths, and easy dirt trails. Available for InGIRO bike tours dedicated to the gravel world.
Castelli clothing is considered "race cut." It fits the shape of your body. If you are unsure of your size, don't worry, we always have extras to exchange in case something doesn't fit right on the first try. You can also see the measurements directly on Castelly web site.
